The Gigabeat  is a snazzy line of MP3 players  from Toshiba  that could truly be a strong competitor with Apple's iPod  with their high quality audio and video. The Gigabeat is an ultra compact MP3 player compatible with Windows XP and Windows XP Media Center Edition. The newest Gigabeats feature a screen larger than those of the iPod which can easily be viewed outdoors. The latest addition to the Gigabeat line is a 30 or 60 GB portable video player which has viewing times of up to 8 hours.

S-Series

Toshiba Gigabeat S-series

  • The latest version of the Toshiba Gigabeat  comes in either a 30GB  white or 60 GB  black model.

  • 12 hours of audio and 3.5 hours of video.
  • 30 GB model supports up to 7500 songs and close to 500 hours of audio.
  • 60GB model supports up to 1500 songs and 996 hours of audio.
  • Slightly thicker than Apple's iPod but otherwise dimensions are slightly smaller.
  • Smaller than the first generation F-series Gigabeat.
