  • Shorter tread life warranty if there is any warranty at all
    • Many of ultra high performance tires do not come with a tread warranty

All Season High Performance Tires 

  • Best for those who want better handling and grip, while still getting good treadwear and comfort
  • Treadwear is 40,000 to 70,000 miles
  • Wheel sizes from 15 to 17 inches
  • H and V speed ratings
  • Heat Resistant
    • Heat build up can lead to tire related car accidents

Performance Snow Tires 

  • Most designs are Q-, S- or T- rated
  • Performance snow tires are available for more responsive snow tires
    • Almost all performance winter tires are H-rated but a few V-rated are available
    • Winter performance tires in sizes up to 18 in wheel diameters, cross section widths up to 285 mm and profiles as low as 40 series are available.

Ultra High Performance Tires 

  • For those who want the best wet and dry braking and handling and don't mind a short treadlife
  • Summer versions are the fastest but cannot be used in winter conditions
  • Must be willing to forgo a warranty entirely
  • Wheel sizes range from 16 to 20 inches
  • Z,W, or Y speed rating
