Nail and Cuticle Products

If you want to build your own nail care kit, for hands or feet, you will need the following items:

Nail Clippers : These are primarily used for removing length. Take great care when using these on very strong nails. They tend to crack the nails even when you can't see it.	Nail File  or Emery Board : Use files to shape nails and remove the sharp edges. Thick files are sturdy and easy to use, but will not last forever. Metal emery boards are very durable. Choose according to what makes you more comfortable.	Cuticle Cream : Apply this to the cuticle area to soften them up before removing them. After letting it sit a few minutes, soak your hands in warm water before trying to remove cuticles.	Cuticle Pusher : After your nails have been soaked, use this tool to gently push your cuticles back. Choose a round, angled, or pointed end depending on preference. Trim hangnails with a clipper if you have them.

Nail Buffer : This will help smooth any rough edges and to polish the nail surface. It will help the polish go on without creating ridges.	Almond Oil  or Solar Oil : Use a bit of oil to nourish the nails and the cuticles. Just a dab goes a long way.	Hand Cream : Give your hands the moisture they need after you have shaped your nails and before applying polish.	Nail Polish : Clear is basic and fine for everyone. It keeps nails from chipping and breaking. See below for more information.
