Casio Exilim Digital Camera
Casio cameras have always been a popular name with younger consumers. Their quality products are never short of a few new surprises and the newest models on their Exilim line have innovation written all over them. My only word of warning for those interested in going the Casio way, is don't expect professional quality cameras even in the pro series. Their models are truly aimed at the mainstream consumer market and advanced amateur. Product offerings include point and shoot snapshot cameras, which are easy to use and well priced considering the features they offer. You will see that the pro series offer the most features and extras. This is definitely the way to go if you like manual controls, but aren't quite up to using a full-blown dSLR. See the Digital Cameras Buying Guide for information on the different aspects of a digital camera, plus how to choose the one that's right for you.

- It also offers the picture correction functions as mentioned above.

| EX-Z57 |
|
EX-Z57 : - Model 1 features 5 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, and a massive 2.7" LCD screen. Not bad for a camera that goes for less than $300.
- It also has excellent battery life and is super slim and lightweight.
- Model 2 upstages the Z57 with a 7.2 megapixel resolution and twice the digital zoom (24x).
- Both can record videos, but only the Z750 can record voices. Both also offer 6 or more different lenses.
- Only major drawbacks on the Z750 are that its 2.5" LCD screen is not suitable for using in the bright outdoors and the optical zoom viewfinder is way too small to be useful.
- Excellent point-and-shoots for the money. Plus they both have easy to use buttons, some manual features, and easy switching between memory cards by the simple press of a button.
