Be careful with these guys. They will not necessarily ship you the U.S. version of game software, and are not very responsive to complaints. I ordered the retail version of Half-Life 2 from this vendor. It arrived about a week and a half later (to ... |

I've placed several orders with GoGamer thus far, and each time the games have arrived promptly and in good condition. They don't carry full selections for all systems, but the games they do offer are competitively priced and their shipping options have been expanded to fit nearly any American's price or time considerations. I've ordered both large-boxed PC games and tiny PSP titles, and I've used both their FedEx and USPS shipping options. While the USPS box was a little banged-up, the contents were in excellent condition. Their customer service leaves a little to be desired, but service through email was responded to the same day. I needed to upgrade my shipping to Priority Mail, and doing so was quite easy through email. Don't bother trying to call, however, as you may only be able to leave a message. |

I've shopped at Compuexpert/Gogamer.com several times now and have been extremely pleased with the quality of their service, products, and generally the entire online shopping experience. I generally check out other stores' previously played games... |

ordered Civilization 4 and 3 headsets for the great price of 50 bucks combined. Civ4 arrived with only 1 headset...trying the contact CS was a disaster. hold hold hold..."all operators are busy" hold hold hold "please leave a msg" grrrrr Ive never shopped anywhere online where they had u leave a msg and you hope they'll call you back. i finally got through to them to only wait for a second shipment, which still hasn't arrived a week later... ill never get the other two headsets before Christmas now. never again with gogamer. |

I ordered Warcraft III from GoGamer. It was very nicely priced at the time, and I got my order quickly and the Warcraft III box was in perfrect condition. I will definitely shop at GoGamer again. |

Placed my order on Friday 11/26, shipped on Monday 11/29 and received on Tuesday 11/30.
Everything went well and I would order from them again. Recommended! |

Superb shipping speed, excellent selection. Been shopping with Gogamer for years now, having bought a dozen different games with them, and will continue to do so! |

Dec 13, 2004 Update: As of 12/7, I have received the correct item, however, I have emailed GoGamer.com twice since receiving the product to find out specific instructions on how to return the game, like if I need an RMA number. I sent an email once on 12/7, then again on 12/10. I have gotten no response, so until I get a reply, I refuse to return the product.
I had purchased Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition from GoGamer.com because at the time they were the cheapest retailer who had it in stock. Fast forward to today (12/3), when the package arrives. I open up the box in which the game was shipped only to find that the wrong version of the game was sent to me. I sent off an email to their Customer Service department and received a reply in about an hour. I send back my reply. Two hours later I didn't get anything, so I decide to call GoGamer.com up. After being forwarded to the correct department, I explained my situation, and was told that a reply to my answer was in fact sent. Well, I didn't receive it. I was also told that my replacement product has been sent or is in the process of being sent. By what method? I'm not sure, but I was informed that it was sent.
This was my first purchase from GoGamer.com and it hasn't been very smooth. If I get the correct replacement, I might consider doing business with them again, otherwise I'm staying far, far away. |

Wow, I've had pretty good luck with GoGamer.com. Orders always come when they should. Never had a problem with them. I read through some of the reviews here and I hope my good luck with them continues.
I've never used their dirt-cheap shipping so I can't comment. But it looks like that's what most of the complaints are from. Just something about "dirt-cheap" shipping that made me never want to use that option. And glad I didn't.
I also enjoy the free notepads or other thingies they give away free. Keep up the good work GoGamer.com. |

Ordered Clive Barker's Undying during the 48 hour madness, and was very pleased at how fast it came. Great company, im going to stop from buying games B&M (Brick and Mortar) anymore. |
I ordered the DVD Hard Case version of No One Lives Forever 2. Instead they sent me the game in paper sleeves, and when I inquired about it, said that they didn't think I'd mind. I asked for a refund or replacement, with no response over two weeks. Other items I have ordered from them have arrived broken or otherwise damaged. |
I've been ordering from GoGamer for roughly 3 years now and have never had a bad experience. Always great prices with quick delivery. |
First time customer with GoGamer, everything went smoothly. I prefer just getting a CD, and not all the boxed packaging. |
I purchased The Sims for Macintosh for my daughter. I ordered the game on Monday (overnight shipping) and received it Wednesday. I stayed on the phone with tech support with Aspyre (the game manufacturer) for 2 hours who subsequently let me know I had a bad DVD. I told gogamer that I wanted a refund so I could purchase the game locally. They say they can not return, only exchange, which they can have to me some time next week (they hope.) Anyway, I am purchasing the game elsewhere and disputing the charge with my credit card company. It is unfortunate that they could not be more helpful. |

I've used GoGamer at least a dozen times before this, but I haven't posted a comment yet. I'll make up for that by saying how much I absolutely LOVE using Gogamer. Their prices are awesome, I always got my orders in a timely manner, and I have no complaints. I recommend them to my friends all the time, and will definately use them again. |

Exellent service and price. FedEx 2-Day hsipping good as usal. Recomended. |

As always, excellent service w/fast order processing and shipment. Bonus free t-shirt and coaster are a nice touch. |

I ordered Homeworld 2 for a total of $7.89 including shipping. It only took a week to get to me, and the site said the game was jewel case only, but it was the big box version, which was really cool of them. A highly recomended store. |
I've ordered several games from here and they have GREAT prices! The 48 hour madness sale is awesome! My orders are usually processed and shipped within 1-2 business days. The dirt cheap shipping is cheap ($1.99), but if you want the order quick i'd suggest forking out a few bucks for faster shipping. Never had a defective game or problems with any of my orders! Will continue doing business with GoGamer.com! |
Great prices, many shipping options, madness sale, quick order processing, great selection, free stuff when you order, I love this place! |
Very good experience. Ordered it that morning 10-31-02 and was shipped that day. Received it today 11-4-02. Will be ordering from them again. Great prices and shipping. |
Ordered FedEx 2 day. Rec'd confirmation e-mail, then absolutly nothing. No communication. They were not accepting any calls so the toll free # was no good. Called long distance after a search with Verizon and still nothing. We will never shop with them again and only hope we can get our money back because they guaranteed they had the merchandise in-stock and apparently don't even have people working to answer emails or calls. |
Always try to buy game titles from this company for their reliable and quick service and low prices. Various low-cost shipping options, and they always deliver on time or sooner. Very professional. |

I would definetly shop at gogamer.com again!
gogamer.com makes it very easy and comfortable to shop and shipping was right on time. |

These guys freaking rock. I have ordered about a dozen games from them, each of them for considerably less than anywhere else. They all arrived in a very timely manner. I am in Iraq and it still gets here fast. Love em to death. |
I ordered an expansion to one of my favorite games at midnight. It was shipped later that day, and arrived the next, and I used dirt cheap shipping. Though the plastic case was broken (this always happens to me), for the price I paid I am more than satisfied with this. |
This is my second purchase from this company. The first order went well. However I paid for overnight shipping on this second order and it was not delivered by FedEx as promised. FedEx has told me to contact GoGamer to get a refund on the shipping charge. I contacted GoGamer and was advised they could not issue a refund for shipping until I receive the order. Since I have not received the order, and FedEx does not know where it is, how does this make sense? So not only am I out for the price of the game, but $10 for shipping on an item I never received. I will not purchase from this company again nor will I refer anyone to them. |
Ordered a UK import game from their 48hr madness, great price, $1.99 shipping and it arrived in 4 days. Very happy with the game, great place to get UK imports in the US. |

I hope everyone ordering from them for the first time has better luck than when I ordered Day Of Defeat and 2 other games from them when they were part of their 48hour Madness sale back in January.
Everything seemed fine when I ordered. I was sent a confirmation email the day I ordered. My credit card was then charged the next day for the 3 games, and I was sent a tracking number by email stating the order has shipped. The information they had online for my order also indicated it had shipped already, yet after more than a week, the tracking number was still unrecognized by the carrier.
I then proceeded to email GoGamer about 4 times over a 10 day period (about every other day) using their online customer support form, asking them about the status of my order, and they never responded once. I finally called them on the phone, (yes they actually do answer it fairly quick too) and was eventually told that the order was not even actually shipped yet because Day of Defeat was on backorder!
After wasting time trying to contact them by email and waiting for an answer, it was now more than 3 weeks after the initial order when I finally found out the bad news with my call to them. So why didn't GoGamer send me an email stating that the game was on backorder and may or may not ever be available to ship anyway?
They charge your card very quickly after orders, regardless of whether an item can or cannot be shipped, and instead of contacting you about the delay or possibility that the product may never be in stock again to be able to ever complete your order, GoGamer holds onto your money as long as they can as they wait for you to eventually have to resort to contacting them by phone to get answers, because they don't answer their own online email form requests sent to them!
The charge was finally credited back to my account more than a week after my cancellation call, and over a month after the initial charge to my account.
Charges shouldn't be done until the product is actually shipped, and GoGamer doesn't have the decency to email their customers and tell them of the delay, and at least give them the chance to immediately cancel the order at that time and get an instant refund.
GoGamer needs to get their act in gear before I would ever consider attempting to purchase from them again! |
I will be making most or all of my new game purchases through Gogamer.com. They are very quick with their 2 day ship. They consistently have the best prices, and I always find some super cheap, old or value priced game to go with my main purchase. I have purchased several times with them. Most recently I bought UT2k4 - DVD edition, Waaaayy better than doing the hokey pokey with the CDs. |
I ordered 2 game almost 3 weeks ago and have yet to receieve my order. I have sent numerous emails (got one oblige reply) and have called 4 times (did reach a live person once) but nothing yet has come from it. |
Excellent price. Shipped on time. Product as it should be. Well done! |
I ordered from this company two weeks ago. I waited a week and never received my order. So I called them. I was basically told that my item was on backorder and that it should be sent out in just a few more days. I checked their website and found out I should have been told that my item was on backorder. I waited a few days and never received a tracking number so I emailed them. They didn't respond. I emailed them again a few days later. STILL no response. I checked to make sure their email wasn't being filtered out by my spamblocker and I also checked to make sure my email address was valid in their system. They simply will not respond to my complaints. This has been two weeks, the game I ordered is still showing on backorder and I can't seem to get a straight answer from this company about when I'll be getting it. I can't understand why they are sold out considering every other store I have been to has this game in stock. I feel like they aren't even trying to fill my order and they aren't even trying to answer my complaints. Be VERY careful with this company. They will not go above and beyond the absolute minimum of what they have to do. I mean, I could have walked to California and got the game by now. |
I ordered 3 games that were in the 48 hour madness sale. They came as described and they came fast. I will most certainly buy from gogamer again. |
This was an excellent transaction. I placed my order at 3:00 PM and the order was shipped the same day. They use FedEx 2-day as standard shipping with excellent rates--up to 3 games only $5.99. I received the order a day early, with additional gifts they placed in the order as well. Excellent! Will definitely do business with again! |
Product prices are GREAT. Shipping prices are nice and they don't overcharge for shipping like other companies. Shipping was also fast. |
Fast delivery, can't go wrong with these guys. Usually have the cheapest prices around, and the 48hr madness is always a great deal. |
I ordered Quake4 DVD on one of Gogamer.com "48 hour madness" sales and selected the "dirt cheap shipping option". I didn't the game right away, so I thought no big deal if it takes awhile. Well, awhile turned into NEVER. I never received my item and after multiple emails, phone calls, etc. etc. I am out $40 for dealing with this bogus company. Shop at your own risk, these guys are thieves. |
I ordered The Sims 2 Holiday Edition for a great low price on 5/19 and chose the Dirt Cheap shipping option (which I was a bit leary in doing). I received a prompt e-mail order response and got the product within 3 business days. Their 48 hour madness sales often offer better values than anywhere else and their online order process is easy to use. I highly recommend this vendor. |
Ordered Rise of Legends game for the PC. I ended up receiving Rise of Legends, but not a standard version. The manual was an abridged version that was missing key details about the game. A friend bought the same game, but the manual contained tons of information I was missing in my manual. The case was also smaller than my friends. The forth CD didn't fit into my CD case correctly and was stored in a paper sleeve. I requested either a partial refund or an exchange for the full retail version and their response was to send back an unopened product at my expense and get charged a $10 restocking fee. And how am I supposed to know the manual was an abridged version without opening it. The online ad stating nothing about it being a non-standard version of the game. |
Their website is very well designed and easy to navigate. I was able to find what I was looking for very quickly. They always have really good deals during their 48 Hour Madness sales.
They processed my order VERY quickly. I ordered a game from them on a Friday and it was delivered on the following Monday. Talk about SUPER FAST shipping, not to mention I also chose the dirt cheap shipping option.
I would not hesitate to order from them again and I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about ordering from them. |
Ordered GTA:San Andreas on the 8th, and they shipped it out within 3 HOURS. Recieved it on the 10 via FedEx 2-day as expected. Packing could have been better, as the game was just floating around inside of the FedEx box without any packing materials, but it arrived fine. They tossed in a free keychain with a light.
The price was still the cheapest around, even with teh shipping charge. Overall I'm impressed and wouldn't hesitate to order from them again. |
Ordered on 11/26 paid for overnight shipping. Web site says usaully ships in 24 hours. Later 11/26 web site says shipping complete for my order. Yet no e-mail with tracking number, or explanation for delay. 11/27 credit card charged. 11/29 send e-mail for information on order. 11/30 no e-mail reply or tracking number or package. I consider this level of service unacceptable.
Edit: 12/1 Call from gogamer. My order was mistakenly shipped to another customer, and my item (Flatout)is back ordered, so the misshipped item will take a couple of days to get to me. They said they would refund the full shipping costs.
Mistakes happen and gogamer seems to have actually spent some effort to correct things.
I received item and was refunded my shipping charges as promised. |
This is the second time I've ordered from Gogamer. Thier prices were good, both times they shipped quick and came with extras such as a T-shirt, a pen, a post-it pad, a magnet, and a bar of soap (???) in one shipment and a baseball cap in the other. I would recommend them to anybody. :) |
Ordered KOTOR 2 pc game on 2/8/05 at 3:30 pm CST with overnight shipping. Received game at 4:00 pm the next day. The price including shipping was less than local stores. |
Unbeatable prices. Shipped very quickly halfway across the states. Flawless source for PC Games. |
Great company, have ordered from them many times since they always have the lowest prices. 48 hour madness is the best deal I have ever found. Items are always shipped on time. Highly recommended. |
Ordered GTR from gogamer with standard overnight. The product was shipped and arrived on time. Gogamer continues to get my business because they carry games that I cannot find at any other store. |
Gotta love those 48 Hr. Madness Sales. I picked up 3 games I've been wanting since they came out, paid one small shipping fee for all 3 games, and got a free T-shirt. Order placed on the 17th, recieved on the 19th. Awsome. Also, the last time I had ordered from them, all I recieved was the jewel case (fine by me), but this time I got everything, including retail boxes for each game. |
I've used GoGamer for the last few years, and have found I'm quite happy with their current software, pricing and shipping. My most recent order was for a Saitek Eclipse keyboard and Call of Duty 2 with a free Cyber Snipa gamepad, and found everything delivered as promised. Everything arrived in one box and worked like a champ from the get go. I love their 48 hour madness sales and enjoy picking up newer games at a great price, and occasionaly taking a chance on an older game at a phenomenal price. |
Purchased a game for an incredible price on Saturday the 23rd. I received a confirmation email the day of the order and a tracking number three days later when it was shipped. I ordered priority mail shipping and received it two days (the 28th) after getting the tracking number email. I definately recommend them. |
Great site, very easy to navigate, great prices and easy ordering process. Shipping was a standard price for three games, so I ordered one in addition to the one I went there to purchase. |
During checkout, I changed my billing address to match my shipping address. However, when I received the email confirmation, I noticed that the billing address was still showing my old address but I figured since GoGamer had shipped to both addresses in the past, there wouldn't be a problem. I was wrong.
I contacted GoGamer and was told that unless I provided copies of my driver's license and credit card by fax or email, they wouldn't ship. I refused and cancelled my order. The day after my cancellation attempt, GoGamer shipped my order.
This is the second time that Gogamer has screwed up an order. The first time (Dec 2002) they shipped by the wrong carrier and I didnt find out until the package had been sitting at FedEx for 5 days! |
I have purchased over 30 games from go-gamer since '99 and always have a good experiance... I was looking for Teenage Munant Ninja Turtles and found it here for a great price... Fast shipping, Free T-shirt!!!! I love buying from this store and will continue to do so!! |
I have ordered 16+ games from them. NEVER had a problem. They have the BEST deals on the web, lowest prices and a 48 hour madness sale that tempts me to buy more games. Got to love it.
Just ordered Postal 2 today for $24.90. Weee
Highly recommended by me and I am shocked to see less than a 9.5 rating for them as my experience is a 10+ every time. |
I've used gogamer on and off for the past few years and have always been satisfied. I hope this was a one time glitch, but I'm not sure. I ordered NW2 the site said it would ship within 24 hours. It did not so I cancelled the order. I e-mailed them about my dissatisfaction & they said they changed the site & it helps handling customer problems quicker, but its slower in retrieving order. Not sure why they can't do both the same, doesn't make much sense. This will probably be the last time I order from them if orders are going to take longer. Of course you wouldn't have as many customer problems if you shipped when you said you would. Plus it appears it will take quite some time to refund my money to my paypal debit card. They take the money out right away but delay in getting it returned to you. Looks like gogamer has lost a loyal customer :( |
I purchased a copy of Unreal 2004 DVD edition, It did not come with a CD-Key. I used the gogamer support email and got a new key within a day. VERY satisfied with their customer service. |
Love GoGamer. Best Prices on games 95% of the time and the 5.99 FedEx 2 Day shipping is fantastic! Love The Freebies! |
Best prices on the net. When I ordered, I wanted the cheapest shipping, but I must have spun the mouse scroll wheel or something and it changed to the 9.99 overnight shipping (which still isn't bad for overnight). But I emailed them immediately after I hit the submit button. An hour later they got back to me and said they would refund my card $4.00. Well, they shipped it overnight anyways! Normally I hate when companies charge for shipping, but with prices so low, I didn't mind it. I will buy all my future games from here. |
This was the first time I had ordered anything from GoGamer.com, and I decided to do so based on the ratings on this site. I was 100% pleased with the transaction - great price, reasonable shipping, good tracking system, items arrived on time and as described. |
GoGamer.com is the best. Their website is very easy to use and order from. I purchased two EQ expansions from them and they had quick and prompt delivery. Plus, their prices were cheaper than anywhere else. They definately have my business. |
I like it!
Good prices and good customer service + cheap but fast shipping = me happy!
Bought Guild Wars from them and it only took em two days to deliver it.Since it is holiday season they keep changing the games prices almost every day.
So, a day after i ordered it, the games price went down 5 bucks.Well,i called them and they credited me the 5 bucks without any hassle.
Very reliable and trustworthy store. |
Web site said orders placed before 3:00pm PT would ship same day. I ordered at 2:00pm and by 5:30pm received a shipping confirmation email complete with tracking number! I ordered on Friday before Memorial weekend and received my complete order (including the candy and plastic ruler) on Tuesday. Exactly as expected given it was a holiday weekend. Competitive prices and fast shipment will bring me back to order more for sure! |
I've purchased from them several times and I usually have a good experience. The only complaint I have is that on their 48-hour madness deals are sometimes import products. While the product is under the 48-hour madness sale, it doesn't say that it is an import product. When it goes back to regular price, then the product says that it is an import product. But besides that, I always get prompt shipping and they sometimes stick a few goodies, like a free mouse pad or sticky pad. I will continue to buy from them in the future. |
Everything seems to be arriving intact and correctly, but gogamer took their sweet time shipping out my order and then used one of the cheapest shipping methods possible. I can't believe that I paid for shipping. It's a good thing I got a great price or I wouldn't ever shop there again. |
To date I've purchased from GoGamer.com three times. The reason for my purchase has generally been their prices, but they have amazed me with how quickly they ship, and how trouble-free all the transactions have been.
Definately a company I will continue to purchase from, and without wondering whether my item will ship quickly, or be in stock, etc., etc. |
everything went well. shipping is pricey. |
I've used gogamer about a dozen times the past 4 years and never had a problem. Saw some of the negative reviews so I'm not sure. Occasionally I've gotten import games and wished they were domestic (like toee) due to patching issues - but the games have always been clearly marked import or domestic so I blame myself. Never had a probelm . (I've cancelled a few orders but never had to return anything due to to wrong product being delivered or bad media). |
Great prices, with very fast order processing and delivery. I've ordered a number of times from this company and have never had any problems. A couple times I've ordered in the morning and my order was shipped the same day. You can find a lot of great deals in their 48 Hour Madness sales. In addition they often throw in little trinkets into orders (pens, CD opener, candy, mouse pad), which is a nice touch. My only complaint is not being able to order pre-order items along with current items. Instead you need to create two separate orders. Not a large problem, but a bit of a hassle. |
They had the cheapest price on F.E.A.R DVD, ordered it on Oct. 21st arrived on Oct. 26th, 2005. Extremely fast shipping using USPS. Will buy more games from them soon. hehe |
I've ordered from these guys for years, and their prices are very good. However, several months ago I placed an order for the following games: "Morrowind Game Of The Year Edition", "IL 2 Sturmovik", and "Max Payne 2: The Fall Of Max Payne." The first two arrived fine, and came with a note stating that Gogamer was out of stock of "Max Payne 2" and that it would be shipped at no extra cost as soon as it was back in.
Here it is December 12th, the order having been placed on September 28th, and it still isn't here. I sent an email using their webform, but I might as well have sent it to /dev/null since there was never even an automated response. Their website has always shown the order as "completed." Well, it wasn't.
This, in addition to bad orders in the past (shipped games I didn't order, didn't ship some I did order) is making me lean heavily towards other sources for game software.
[Update] Now, several weeks after a second and third email, I have still recieved no response whatsoever about the missing game that I paid for but they never shipped. They have really dropped the ball.[/update]
[Update2]I sent an email directly using an email client rather than their web form, and they shipped the game the next day. I figure that their web form is broken when using Mozilla, and that they may have never recieved the earlier emails. In any case, the order is now complete.[/update] |
Purchased one PC Game from GoGamer.com, order was processed and shipped quickly. This isn't my first order from GoGamer and it won't be my last. The prices and selection, top notch and I have never had to deal with their customer service (which is a good thing). |
They shipped it fast all right, the next day as promised, but they shipped to the wrong zip code made by their error. Even Mapquest had a checking utility to verify the address matching with the zip code. For free. This company made a lot of mistake in shipping lately. [sarcasm on]Maybe it's time they neeed to hire shipping people paying attention to what they are doing or at least know how to read or write. [sarcasm off]
Update0: No one is that fast to order (3/15) and write a good review for GoGamer in the same day (3/15) like DorkOff 1 post after me, unless that person also works for GoGamer. He probably got laid off from CNN or 60 Minutes then got a job there.
Update1: 3/17 Call Gogamer 1-888-948-9661 and hear the message "You reach overflow line of Gogamer, press 1 to leave a message for Gogamer, press 2 to leave a message for Computer expert". Press 1 -> "There is no such thing of leaving a message". What? Try that for Fun of the day, folks.
Mar-25: Well I called their CS few days later and they are very fast to blame it's my fault to give them the wrong address. After I told them look at their info about my address and about where they shipped, the blame is now shipped to the shipper who typed in the wrong zip code. Well it's too bad, they hire stamp.com at the first place. It takes few days later for the package finally arrived to its destination, after I have brought it to their attention because their system can't check where it shipped to once it's out of their hands. They have the same shipping # as I have but the CS told me he couldn't see where it shipped to. They need a lot of fixing in their shipping dept and whom they hire to do the final shipping. |

I like this store; they have great prices on the latest games. I got HL2 Collector's Edition for 49.90! That's 30$ cheaper than the MSRP.
My only gripe is that they were late on shipping. I ordered 2nd day Fedex and got it after 5 days. Good store overall. |
I placed my order online at about 3pm PST and had the package was on my doorstep by 11am the next morning (I do live about 50 miles from them however). I was very pleased that my order was processed, packed and picked up by FedEx within 2.5 hours of when I placed the order. |
UPDATE: Don't know if my posting here had anything to do with it, but I just received my credit less the shipping. I'll take it, but still will never order from them again.
Ordered software title and paid for overnight Fedex. Not only did they ship late, it didn't arrive until the following Monday when it should have arrived by Friday. Over that weekend, I purchased the software from another vendor. I then refused the Fedex delivery. Fedex confirmed receipt by gogamer.com of the returned delivery. I emailed 3 times over the next month to receive a credit back to my card. I got no response. I then called and spoke to Simon at Customer Support who apologized and said a credit would be issued immediately. They refused to give me a confirmation number. That was 3/24 and as of 4/18, still no credit has been issued.
Buyers beware! |
Bought a game off of them during one of their 48 Hour Madness sales and arrived in good order. They have great prices, and I'll probably buy off of them again in the future. |
On Monday morning I ordered Battlefield 1942 (jewel case only..much cheaper) and Unreal 2 and by the afternoon saw Fedex had my order on their truck. Wednesday afternoon my order arrived; that was perhaps the quickest I've ever seen my order be filled and on a truck.
I will turn first to gogamer.com in the future for games I want.
Almost forgot - not big, but I got a free plastic calendar with my order which is perfect because I needed a calendar. Freebies are always a plus. |

Ordered a game that came with a cracked CD, thats the first problem sometimes GoGamer's packing isnt good enough and the stuff floats around in the FedEx box, this is the first cracked CD I've ever gotten from anyone mailorder ever.
Next their policy is for you to return damaged games within 10 days. I sent an email simply asking how to return the game. No reply. I had to keep badgering them by email to get a response too MANY times. Finally I get an email that says and I quote:
Dear customer,
Please send us back the bad CD and we will exchange it for you with a new one.
Regards,
Robert
CompuExpert\GoGamer
Not very informative at all, only later do I find out there are specific instructions you need to follow for RMA's, however I did just what this guy said, just send it back to us.
I wait and wait and wait, and hear nothing from GoGamer, finally send an email to customer support and get the standard we never received it.
This would be the first package that got lost ever in the history of me using the US mail if it was actually lost, which I seriously doubt happened.
I think the game got there, didnt have the RMA data on it since they never informed me of what I needed to do, so I got the shaft.
Either way this wasnt a good experience and didnt give me confidence in Gogamer when something goes wrong.
1.CD shouldnt be cracked in the first place
2.Should have answered emails more promptly especially given their 10 day return period
3.Rep should have given me detailed instructions for sending something back
4.They should have pre-paid my sending the game back since it was their fault
5.Once the game was 'lost' on their end they should have offered to replace it, Customer service rep didnt even say 'sorry game was lost' just stopped answering emails.
I love Gogamers prices and speed of service, but the way a simple problem was handled gave me the chills over the company.
If you have problems you're in for trouble likely. |

Ordered two games from one of their 48 hour sales. Each was about $20 cheaper than the MSRP. They shipped that same day and arrived at my door in about 35 hours. The games were brand new and were exactly as advertised. I will buy from GoGamer again and would recommend it to anyone! |
I use to be satisfied with GoGamer, then this happened. I ordered two older games that I'd been wanting and used their cheapest shipping method. After seeing my card charged and waiting about a month, I emailed their customer support with the order number and explained that I hadn't recieved the order and asked what can be done... Two months later I'm still waiting for an answer. Unless they provide some kind of support, I won't order from them again and will advise all my associates to stay away. They have good prices, but it seems that if something doesn't work out right you're left high and dry. C'mon GoGamer, you're better that that...right? |
This is my second order from Gogamer.com. The price was the best, Battlefield 1942 for $19.99 +$5.99 2 day shipping. They shipped right away and I'm a satisfied customer. |
Good prices, received product in perfect condition. Great shipping prices, anywhere from $1.99 to a more reasonable $5.99 FedEx 2-day air
Highly recommended |
I recently purchased Battlefield 1942 from GoGamer in one of their very cheap 48-hour sales. Within two hours of receiving my order, they had packaged and shipped the game. The game then arrived by my selected shipping option well packaged and in fine shape.
I would highly recommend GoGamer.com. Their prices (at least for the 48-hour sales) are super-low and their service seems to be great. |
Bought 5 low-priced games. Order shipped the next day. Games came "packed" in a free GoGamer T-shirt! Big Happy Dance! |
I've been buying off and on from this company for many years -- I even remember back when they were known as compuexpert.com -- and have always been satisfied with their service.
My most recent order caused them to call me at home and ask a number of questions, apparently in an effort to avoid fraud. I had placed a $300 order for the holidays and was shipping to an address other than my billing address. That address is registered with my credit card company however, so I'm not sure why it was a problem for them.
In short, they were very hesitant to ship to this other address (where I was going to be the following week for the duration of the holidays) and I finally agreed for them to ship to my billing address after getting their assurance that the package would arrive before I left. True to their word, the package arrived promptly within 2 days.
Overall, I'm satisfied. It was just a little inconvenient that they wouldn't ship to an alternate address even though it was registered with my credit card company. |

I had been looking to purchase Warcraft III for quite awhile now, but the price everywhere was a little rich for my blood. That was until I found Gogamer.com The price they had on the game was more than 50% less than what I had seen anywhere else. And with $5.99 for FedEx 2-day shipping, it was a great deal. Everything came quickly, as I ordered the game on Friday and received it on Tuesday. The retail package was in perfect condition. I will definitely buy from them again in the future! |
Bought Battlefield 1942 for myself and friend in 48 hour sale; jewel case only at a great price! Did not recieve email confirmation till after product shipped. However web interface was kept updated, and shipping was done in 2 days. (I live nearby) Will likely order from them again when the price is right. |

***BUYER BEWARE***
I saw GoGamer advertise Half-Life Platinum Collection on PriceGrabber for $17.90. I sent out a purchase request (this was for business) to have five copies purchased. My company purchased them, but unfortunately was charged $24.90 per copy instead of $17.90 as they were advertising.
My first reaction was to call customer service. Upon calling them, I was told that was likely happened is I saw a 48-hour madness price and they forgot to pull the PriceGrabber ad when it was over. Unfortunately, I was told no one could help me via phone and my only recourse was to e-mail customer service.
I found it very strange I couldn't speak to a manager or ranking employee on the phone. So I sent customer service 2 e-mails to date and have received no responses. Way to go GoGamer, advertise wrong prices and ignore customers. Perhaps I should dispute the difference in the charge. |
